the site is creeping today from a link over at metafilter - http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/43292 and deli.cio.us - http://del.icio.us/popular/ - today alone up to now had more traffic than all the week and then some. if i switched it to auto-thumbnail mode it might save some bandwidth and speed, might try that
