Last monday our cockatiel "Zulke" died. We have had this funny guy for 7 years. This is the image I'd like to remember, Zulke sitting on the standing lamp, after having shagged the couch cushion, talking to himself and pushing his chest forward like a real chap...

I can't bear the annoying silence here, I miss his whistling and replies to everything in and around the house, I miss his greetings in the morning. I am crying my eyes out here

aww, i'm so sorry for your loss :(

almost a month now, haven't got the courage to clean up his cage, I still expect to hear his well-known answers to all sorts of events in the house, he even copied the sound of the zipper of my working-bag

weird...It's march now, my view still flicks to the spot where his cage used to be situated when I go open the rolling shutter or just walk into the living room. I'm planning to buy another bird but it will never be a "Zulke" again
