Any opinions on the PT Cruiser? Im thinking of trading my 98 F150 for a 2004 PT Cruiser. Any one ever own one? Are they any good?

I just bought a 2007. I did a lot of research online and it seemed to be the best vehicle for me for the price range i needed. the blind spots bother some people but i used to haul 5 dogs (2 german shepards, a lab/chow, a pitbull mix, and a great dane) around in my wagon so i'm used to looking around and over obstacles :) I do have to say i feel pretty stylin' in my zipply little ride :)

for a time, a few years back, the sight of a PT on the road filled me with quease and the certainty of ill omen. a reminder of the certain doom that such nostalgia themed suggestions to a time when american design really did rule in the world of function and aesthetic would bring. a ride designed to "take you back" to an era you never new, but with all the buffed edges and planned obsolescence the mid-nineties economarket could offer. like how fuddrucker's suggests food.
now? just kind of invisible to me.

Its the interior that got me interested. Saratoga Honda has a 2004 I'm looking at for 7499... oops.... $7995. The price is right and its a 5 speed. I wanted a fuel efficent car that I can put a trailer hitch on (motorcycle trailer). I hate spending 65 dollars every 3 days on gas and Im only driving back and fourth to work..... And thats at half tank! I love my truck but it wants my wallet. I refuse to be a man whore to my truck.
