Im thinking about going to school to get a CDL liscence, but its really friggin expensive and I have to go at night when I get off work, that means y'all wont see much of me here anymore. 10-4.

I got mine through my job. Its only a class B but it would still cost around $2500 If i had to get it on my own. Try looking into Berlington Motor carrier or Snyder, They have an on the job training program. Berlington reimburses you the student loan after you complete the training.

Hmmm? Thats somthing you might want to ask TThunder Dan about. You might also see about getting your class B, Constuction drivers make around $20+ an hour and you will be home at the end of the night. Plus those tri axl dump trucks are super cool.

I got CDL training when I lost a job (no fault of my own that time). The state paid for it and I collected UC also. Some companies will train you but you have to sign a commitment to run for them for awhile so you don't train then jump. The best way to get experience (recogonized by employers) is over the road. But with a son to care for, that might not be an option for you. I had an hourly job that paid well but I got out of that and am over the road again, (regional, nearby, out and back). I like it more I think and I don't have to wear that 'idiot' uniform! The main advice I can give is to not wreck and never quit under load (get it there first). After 1 year with no nicks on your record, you can pick from just about any driving job out there (if they are hiring). And always look wayyyy far ahead! 10-4?
