first i reduced the original image in photoshop to 6 colors and pixelated it to 6 pixel squares. then i setup a 6x6 grid in the applet. from there it's just the pure carpal tunneling labor of placing the colors where they should be...like i said its not really drawing...but hey if chuck close can get away with it...
