ok so theres these 4 dwarfs that antagonized the dwarf village council for some reason (prolly smokin large amounts of weed from the city stash or fuckin snowwhite without inviting the other dwarves to the orgy...i dunno) anyways - they get buried in the sand outside the village in such a fashion they cant move their heads. then someone puts hats on their heads, 2 white hats, 2 black hats. they cant turn or move their heads, the grey thing is a concrete wall, which they can't see through either. the dwarves are not allowed to talk to each other. they know that there are 2 hats and 2 white hats involved tho. if one of them guesses which color his own hat has, all of them are set free, if they dont guess it within the hour, the mean city people just leavem buried there, possibly with some enhanced agony, which i leave up to your imagination.

the question is: which dwarf guesses the color of his hat correctly, and why?

its not a trick question.

ok, so it is the first dwarf from the right, if he sees that the two dwarves in front of him wear the hat of the same color, hes dead sure and can say it right away.
if he stays quiet though, the dwarf infront of him knows that his own hat must be a different color than the hat of thw dwarf infont of him.
so they??re released and live happily ever after, fucking snowwhite and so on.. bla bla

of course once they're all set free they'll prolly raid the weed stash again and end up right back where they are now :)

and mrae yeah hehe...im sure theyll think up a more difficult puzzle then...and then theyre fucked =O

i attempted a simmilar (but slightly different) one some years ago but i think i never figured it out.. this one seemed easier now (well i??m older, wiser, haha). i'll try to find the other one..
